On the morning of September 8, the Zhenjiang & Huaian Famous Calligraphers and Painters Invitation Exhibition was grandly opened at the School of Art, Jiangsu University. Professor Zhao Ming, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Art, Jiangsu University, Yu Wenqing, Chairman of the Zhenjiang Calligraphers Association, Mr. Dai Zongbao, former secretary of the Lianshui County Party Committee, and renowned calligrapher Mr. Wang Maicheng attended the event. Renowned calligraphers and painters, as well as painting and calligraphy enthusiasts from Zhenjiang and Huaian, along with representatives of teachers and students from the School of Art, Jiangsu University, participated in the opening ceremony and viewed the works on site.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Zhu Lixin, the former secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Art, Jiangsu University. Zhao Ming, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Art, Yu Wenqing, Chairman of the Zhenjiang Calligraphers Association, and Mr. Zhang Jianmeng, Director of the Huaian Wang Maicheng Calligraphy Research Institute and a representative of Jiangsu University's 1990 alumni, delivered speeches respectively. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 40th Teachers' Day, embrace the new era, and embark on a new journey, the School of Art, Jiangsu University, Jiangsu King's Luck Liquor Co., Ltd., and the Wang Maicheng Calligraphy Research Institute jointly planned and held the Zhenjiang & Huaian Famous Calligraphers and Painters Invitation Exhibition.
The exhibition received strong support and guidance from the Zhenjiang Calligraphers Association and the Huaian Calligraphers Association, as well as substantial support from Jiangsu King's Luck Liquor Co., Ltd. It also garnered enthusiastic responses and participation from numerous outstanding artists in Zhenjiang and Huaian. The exhibited works were splendid and diverse, showcasing traditional Chinese calligraphy, painting art, and other forms of creative talent. The works spanned time and space, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and artistic expression of Zhenjiang and Huaian. The holding of this exhibition will undoubtedly further promote cultural exchanges and cooperation between Zhenjiang and Huaian, thereby inspiring our love and exploration of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
