.OBJECTIVE:

Taking art history as research subject, this course will make a profound study and discussion on the history of Chinese and foreign painting, arts and crafts and other visual arts through case study about art history, in order to enhance students’ art history literacy by seminar among teachers and students.

Students taking this course should master certain common sense of art history and possess aesthetic feeling ability. During this course, students will advance their issue consciousness, logical thinking and academic standard awareness; cultivate their ability to investigate and research independently so as to ponder over different art works, artists and phenomena from various levels and in diverse ways; gradually develop their own way of academic thinking, feeling and researching; ultimately lay the foundation for selecting topics, researching and writing related art history essays independently.
