On September 25, the Jiangsu Postgraduate "Jiangnan Art Heritage and Reconstruction" Academic Innovation Forum was successfully held. The Jiangsu Postgraduate Art Education Steering Committee of Jiangsu Province, the Graduate School of Jiangsu University and the School of Art of Jiangsu University organized the forum. The forum received 126 papers and 34 pieces of design work from postgraduates of universities across China, and more than 160 postgraduates from 37 universities and research institutes across China participated in this academic forum. The forum's opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Zhang Tongbiao, the head of the discipline of fine arts at Jiangsu University and the director of Jiangnan Academy of Fine Arts.

The forum's opening ceremony began with a speech by Zhou Zhengsong, Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Jiangsu University. On behalf of Jiangsu University, he expressed his gratitude to the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Postgraduate Education in Art and welcomed the leaders, experts, and scholars, as well as postgraduates from universities across China. Professor Li Hong from the School of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University, and Jiangsu Provincial Education Committee expert, delivered a speech on Jiangsu Provincial Education Committee. Professor Li Hong pointed out that the Academic Innovation Forum on "Jiangnan Art Heritage and Reconstruction" is meaningful. Jiangnan is a fascinating topic that has received much attention from the historical and economic circles in recent years. The involvement of the art world in Jiangnan is bound to become a significant trend of development. Subsequently, Zhang Wenli, vice dean of the School of Art of Jiangsu University, delivered a speech on behalf of the School of Art. She introduced the discipline construction, postgraduate education development, development history, faculty, discipline construction, talent training, etc. of the School of Art of Jiangsu University, and looked forward to the participating postgraduate students enjoying and exchanging academic achievements and sharing academic time during this academic feast weekend.

With the theme of "Jiangnan art heritage and re-creation," the forum focused on "objects," "history," "beauty," "use," and other aspects to further discuss the representative artworks of the Jiangnan region and excavated cultural relics, new trends and ideas of Jiangnan art in contemporary development. "The forum further discussed the representative artworks and excavated relics of Jiangnan region, new trends and new ideas of Jiangnan art in contemporary development, and provided a platform for experts and scholars of art and design to exchange and study with high planning and broad vision.

In recent years, the art discipline of Jiangsu University has devoted itself to the teaching and research of Jiangnan art history and theory, hoping to create disciplinary characteristics and form a series of academic achievements. This forum is one of a series of academic activities of the School of Art of Jiangsu University on the study of Jiangnan art. We should dig deep into the classics, explore new knowledge, and look forward to the support and guidance from fellow academics.

The forum invited Professor Gu Ping of Nanjing Art Institute, Professor Zhang Hongwei of the National Palace Museum to make a special academic report. Jiangsu Provincial Education Committee experts, Professor Li Hong of the School of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University, Professor Zhang Hongwei of the Palace Museum, Professor Zhao Jian of Nanjing Normal Institute of Special Education, Professor Shang Yong of Nanjing Art Institute, Professor Ren Junwei of Capital Normal University, Professor Jin Jianrong of Huaiyin Normal University, Professor Dong Song of Anhui Provincial Art Museum, Professor Wang Zhaoyu of Soochow University and several professors of the School of Art of Jiangsu University as academic hosts and academic commentary experts.

After the opening ceremony, Professor Gu Ping of Nanjing Art Institute to the late Northern Song Dynasty "poetic painting": "Jiangnan cultural lineage" and "poetry and painting relationship" interpretation of a case for the theme, the Palace Museum Institute of Palace Studies, Zhang Hongwei, director of the theme of "weary Qinzhai Jiangnan fun" for the theme of the academic report respectively.

After the keynote speech, 20 graduate students participated in the forum activities around the four themes of "Jiangnan art history", "version identification and source", "Jiangnan art archaeology" and "creation and female space", respectively, four special academic reports, the forum activities to the climax.

In the evening of the same day, the forum held the closing ceremony. Zhu Lixin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangsu University College of Art, gave a closing speech for the forum and announced the winners of the forum's outstanding papers and outstanding design works. He said that with the support and help of leaders, experts and scholars, and the enthusiastic participation of postgraduate students from all sister universities, the forum had achieved complete success and borne fruit. He especially thanked all the experts, scholars, and academic commentators who participated in the forum and many sister institutions for their full support. Furthermore, he thanked all the postgraduates for their enthusiastic participation and all the teachers and students who worked hard for this forum in the Graduate School and College of Art. He hopes that the success of this forum can build a platform for further academic exchange and communication, and make new contributions to the improvement of postgraduate students' academic ability, writing ability and expression ability, and to the work of postgraduate education.
