On May 8, 2025, Sha Chunfa, Vice Dean of the School of Arts, led a delegation of over 90 students to visit Jiangsu Chexi Co., Ltd. for a study tour and research activity. Zhang Jingquan, Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Chexi Co., Ltd., and heads of relevant departments participated in the event.

Jiangsu Chichi Co., Ltd., specializing in premium commercial vehicle customization and upgrades, operates a provincial-level industrial design center with proven expertise in automotive design. The company maintains long-standing industry-academia partnerships with Jiangsu University's School of Art. During the tour, staff warmly welcomed the visiting delegation, guiding students through the production workshop. They provided comprehensive explanations covering the entire automotive manufacturing process—from conceptual design and blueprint drafting to component production, vehicle assembly, and final calibration. The students listened attentively, actively engaged with the experts, and posed insightful questions throughout the interactive session.

Following the guided tour, company representatives delivered a concise presentation on the school-enterprise collaboration project. They highlighted practical achievements including RV exterior design and commercial vehicle interior color optimization, emphasizing the need to balance aesthetic expression with technical feasibility in design implementation. During the session, students raised insightful questions about design inspiration and industry trends, creating an interactive atmosphere. The staff encouraged students to observe real-life scenarios in their studies and develop a mindset of "design serving industrial needs." Though brief, this introduction provided students with a tangible understanding of design-industry connections, offering practical perspectives for their future professional development.

During the study tour, faculty members held in-depth discussions with corporate leaders to understand the company's recruitment needs and standards. They further explored future talent development, school-enterprise collaboration, and internship programs, reaching consensus on multiple fronts. Both parties expressed their hope that such exchanges and cooperation would cultivate more outstanding professionals with innovative capabilities and practical experience in the field of art and design.
