On June 1st, the Graduation Exhibition of 2024 Undergraduates from the Art School was opened at Zhenjiang Suning Plaza. Yang Daojian, member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President, Zhang Yongqiang, Secretary of the University Youth League Committee, Wang Yuzhong, Deputy Director of the University Propaganda Department, Liu Jie, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, Sun Haiyong, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office of the University Party Committee, Zhao Ming, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Art School, Han Rong, Dean of the Art School, and Zhang Pengpeng, General Manager of the Suning Group, were invited to attend the opening ceremony.
This exhibition featured outstanding works from 286 graduates in seven majors: Industrial Design, Product Design, Environmental Art Design, Animation Design, Digital Media Design, Visual Communication Art Design, and Fine Arts (Education) among the 2024 undergraduates of the Jiangsu University Art School. The graduation exhibition presented not only traditional easel paintings but also comprehensive material design works integrated with contemporary contexts, encompassing traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, calligraphy, art designs, and other works. The works were diverse in subject matter, distinctive in theme, and rich in contemporary flavor. During the exhibition, it attracted many citizens to come and view.
The collective public display of graduation designs serves as a grand lesson of aesthetic education for all, bringing art into close contact with the public, showcasing aesthetic culture to the whole society, and disseminating aesthetic culture.
The graduation designs fully demonstrate the spiritual outlook of contemporary university students walking together with the motherland, the times, and their dreams. They showcase the noble life pursuits, elegant aesthetic tastes, and outstanding artistic talents of students influenced by aesthetic education.
In recent years, the Art School has kept pace with the school's reform and development, actively carried out reforms in aesthetic education and teaching, continuously updated educational and teaching concepts, and strengthened university-enterprise cooperation and industry-academia coordination, focusing on the three aspects of art education popularization, professional art education, and art teacher education in universities. It emphasizes multidimensional interactions among professional education, local industrial needs, and public life, achieving commendable results in aesthetic education, discipline construction, and serving local economic and social development.
