In February 28, 2014, The faculty Rong Han made an academic lecture in University of Idaho Faculty of Landscape Architecture Friday Lecture Series (FLAFLS). The title of her lecture is Archeology of Fine Arts Research Methods as applied to Ancient Chinese Art. Mr. Mark Elison Hoversten (Dean of Art & Architecture College of UI) , Professor Stephen R. Drown (Chair of Landscape Architecture Program) and Professor Gary Austin attended the meeting with other faculties and college students.
FLAFLS is a academic big event of University of Idaho Art & Architecture College. Every season, Landscape Architecture Program of Art & Architecture College will invite outstanding professors or faculties introduce the most cutting-edge academic research, explore and try to answer the issues of high-end professional design. All these selected professors will bring a wonderful and fantastic lecture to all College students, especially to landscape architecture students. The event has been carried out for 6 years since 2008. With the development, It becomes a one of the most influential northwest American regional events through invited professional designers to combine academic research and real projects.
Dr. Han's lecture divided into three parts include "The Development of Archeology of Fine Arts Research Methods", "Ancient Chinese Art Category Overview" and "Case Study Analysis Methods". She not only showed charms the of Chinese traditional culture through her researched detailed information but also introduced the overall framework of research process and research ideas to American professors and students. And through her lecture, she explained how to use the scientific research system of academic research to depth exploration.
