Wang Lingzhong


Wang Lingzhong, born in November1956, native of Hunan province, is professor and M.A. supervisor of School of Arts, Jiangsu University. He finished his undergraduate study and got his bachelor’s degree in Henan University in 1983. He is the member of the Chinese Industrial Design Association and Henan Artists Association. He has engaged in the teaching and research of art and design. His art works have been selected for provincial art exhibitions several times. He had worked on the strategies for tourism development, company image design, advertising and packaging before coming to Jiangsu University. In 1992, he got a reward for designing the opening ceremony of the Seventh Sports Meeting of Henan province. In recent years, he is focusing on theoretical research, and has published more than 20 research papers on such journals as ‘Arts’, ‘Decoration’, ‘Journal of Henan Normal University’, ‘Art Education in China’, ‘Social Science in Henan’, ‘Jianghan Forum’ , ‘Art of Design’. In 2003, he was awarded the first prize for the achievements of his research subject of social science. In 2005, He received the honor of Advanced Individual awarded by the Education Department of Henan province. In 2007, he received rewards for outstanding literary and artistic achievement granted by the provincial government. In 2005, the People’s Fine Art Press published his book, ‘Psychology of Visual Arts’ , which has been included in the Suggested Reading List for Ph.D and M.A candidates of Shandong University, Communication University of China and Central Academy of Fine Arts. Currently, he is mainly engaged in the visional and social psychology of art and experiments about their effects.
