Art History &Art Archeology

The History of Art, mainly studies and does research on the development of Chinese art and foreign art. For the historical issues, a systematic study and researches on the special subjects are conducted.Art Theory, which is based on the theoretical perspective, focuses on the development and application of art ideas.

Art Archeology, which is combined with art and archeology research, studies art development of the art of modeling, function, concept and aesthetics on the basis of the practical archaeological excavation.

Non-material cultural heritage-related projects, are combined with local resources on the intangible cultural heritage protection, preservation, development of academic research and theoretical summary.

The goal of this direction is to cultivate talents who can carry out independent academic research in the fields of painting history, architectural history, sculpture history, national folk art, religious art, painting aesthetics, intangible cultural heritage and provide preparatory talents for high-level academic research.
